Auxiliary heat keeps coming on even when thermostat is set low

My heat pump is a Bryant model 213BNW030-A
The problem seems to be that the auxiliary heat comes on at odd times and even when the thermostat is set low. It is a unit that services only the upstairs and night we set the thermostat to 63. In the middle of the night the auxiliary heat will come on and it's not even that cold outside.

Could be the stat
Could be the sequencer in the heat kit
Could be your low on Freon and your defrost sensor is clicking in outside
Could be your defrost board outside
Could be a wire short
