Bosch Geothermal cycle time

by Jeff
(North platte Ne.)

In 2012 I had a Bosch TA closed loop system installed and It runs for an hour and a half to heat the home to 73 degrees in winter. Its only off for about 30 minutes then runs another hour and a half. It uses comp 1 and 2 for the entire cycle. If its below 20 outside it will bring on backup heat. My old air to air heat pump was way more efficient than this Bosch has been. My electric use just keeps rising and I think my installer lives here he cant find the problem. Not happy at all.

back up heat

A closed loop system is less efficient. The back up heat system may be what is causing the spike in energy use.
