excessive power consumption

Rheem RPNL-024JAZ
System seems to work fine, but, seems to cause a large increase in power consumption. Our electric bills have increased substantially since installation.

air conditioner and heat pump were added over a year ago. the power company has been out and checked the house for efficiency, replacing light bulbs and such. Windows were upgraded 5 yrs ago...

What kind of unit did you have previously? Was it comparable to what you have now?

If it is operating the same as your previous unit, your bills should most likely decrease due to better efficiency achieved over the last few years.
