No Warm Air and Outside Unit Doesn't Work

Goodman Company model ARUF363616BA. Serial # 0901602581. Inside unit turns on, outside unit doesn't turn on, blows out room temperature air instead of heat. Unit was installed in 2010.
Inside/outside units turn on for a/c with cold air.
Help, I just had surgery on my knees and I need a warm house. Thank you for any assistance.

Changed capacitor, contactor, heat sequencer and fan control relay too... now every thing is up and running still no heat.. will change the Defrost control tomorrow.. lets see i will update later

Thank you for your suggestions. It was actually the last one. The thermostat was not working properly for this type of unit. My house is warm, just in time for more cold temperatures.

There are many possible solutions, but here are a few of the most likely:

- Bad start capacitor
- Bad compressor contactor
- Bad control relay or control board
- Thermostat problems (is thermostat set to fan "on" or "auto")
