Regarding York LX Latitude model heat pump 13 seer 2 ton...
I am considering putting this model in my home..however I read negative reviews about certain models. Some have complained about noise, for others their electric bill skyrocketed. Can I be reassured that this model will be a good decision? I am concerned as this is a big purchase. Thank you for your attention.

I live in Daytona Beach Fl. Over the years I have had Carrier, Trane and now York. I had two 3.0 Ton Affinity Heat pumps installed in my residence last summer to replace two Carrier models that were 8 years old. They cut my electric bill in half. At the same time my neighbor let the Carrier Dealer talk him into new Carrier Infinity systems. He said that his reduced his electric bill by 15 to 20 %. He paid over 1,600 more per system than I paid and while my York Affinity Systems sound like a refrigerator running his Carrier systems sound like small dirt bikes with out mufflers. He has already had to coil leaks and one compressor replaced. My York units came with a 1 year service plan and all our dealer has done is check our pressures, and wash our outside coils with the water hose.mour coils still look the same after a year as they did the day they were installed. My neighbors are already looking chalky white like they are already getting corrosion. I must say that at this point, I am 100% satisfied with my 1 year old York Affinity Heat pumps. My neighbor now wishes he would have bought the York as well. Oh yeah, my York units are made in Oklahoma. His Carriers have a big sticker on the side of them that says Proudly made in Mexico.
